During the start of the protesting for George Floyd I, Monstalung, was inspired to write about my experiences being a 54-year-old black man in America. I wrote 2 songs, the first was released last week, it’s called “Something Gotta Change” https://youtu.be/813AbfiMORQ
and I also wrote this song “UnLoVed”. I try to describe the hopeless feeling I sometimes get because I have seen my whole life abuse against my people, also knowing what my ancestors went through. I hadn’t written lyrics in a while, mainly just focusing on my music production, but I truly believe in times like these artists need to use their craft as a voice for the people✊🏾👊🏻.
